Volstead
If you took the time to read the press release you will be forgiven in thinking the venture is another gimmick in the marketing of a new London club. The 1920s theme of Volstead is apparent in its styling but that's where it ends, the drink prices are definitely 2006 and the music, well you would stand a better chance understanding that if time travel in a tardis was your think. I'm not in love with the music but I take my hat off to the guys behind this venture by setting their stool out in being very different.

The venue does look cool and has the usual trademarks of the Eclipse / Boujis operators: quality design, great cocktails and excellent service.

Its neighbor Cuckoo club is firing a few doors up the road and Gaucho Grill expanded into Destino territory with an impressive bar lounge and restaurant. So the competition is stiff and this is just Swallow Street !

Michael Lucombe ex Momos is the manager and the man to seduce on the front door.

Give it a whirl
